ViewSonic Modernizes Meeting Rooms with the Intel Unite® Solution

ViewSonic ViewBoard® digital whiteboard solution now works with Intel Unite® App to transform meeting rooms into smart, secure and connected spaces

Los Angeles, CA (Oct. 10th, 2017) – ViewSonic Corp., a leading global provider of visual solution products, announced a strategic partnership with Intel Corporation to expand the boundaries of unified communications in conference rooms and classrooms.

In the ever changing world of unified communications (UC), keeping up-to-date with the latest trends and applications has become cumbersome. Especially when updating your UC system requires the need to remodel and re-configure your networks. ViewSonic and Intel experienced this firsthand and wanted to resolve this problem.

“We are constantly striving to deliver the best presentation experience – be it in a class or a meeting room. Our ViewBoard® product line was meant to not only facilitates collaboration through its digital whiteboarding, but also developed to provide IT departments with easy manageability for the complexity of UC,” says Bonny Cheng, President of Global Product for ViewSonic. “ViewBoard® is platform agnostic, holds data security as a top-priority, and evolves to market needs as they happen – we saw the same mission from Intel Unite.”

Combining the Intel Unite® application with ViewSonic ViewBoard® adds a higher level of collaboration to the solution – a secured digital whiteboarding experience.  Apart from access to a full featured whiteboard, the ViewBoard® serves as the focal point of your entire management experience in the meeting room. With ViewBoard® and the Intel Unite® app, users can manage every aspect of the UC experience – from digital collaboration and video conferencing to room lighting controls or hardware management.

“Collaboration can be overly complex, from IT managing multiple platforms that don’t talk to each other to user difficulty in getting meetings started and sharing content. We set out to solve this with Intel Unite,” said Tom Garrison, Intel’s Vice President and General Manager for Connected Home and Commercial Client group. “We’re excited to work with ViewSonic, which is driving new meeting experiences with digital whiteboards. This will change how we collaborate for the better.”

ViewBoard® with the Intel Unite® app integrated will be available worldwide with all of ViewSonic ViewBoard models ranging in sizes from 86-inch, 75-inch, 65-inch and 55-inch starting October 2017.
